Cartoon Video Maker
FAQ.
Start
What does Cartoon Video Maker make?
Narrated, illustrated videos. Give it one idea, or paste your own voice-over script, and you get a finished video with a natural narrator voice, pictures for every scene in the style you choose, sound effects and optional captions.
Can I use my own script?
Yes. Paste your voice-over and it is read word for word, then illustrated scene by scene. Write NAME: line to give a line to a character, and that character speaks it in their own voice.
Which formats and lengths can I make?
Vertical 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, or horizontal 16:9 for YouTube. Anything from 20 seconds to 20 minutes, in 720p, 1080p or 4K, with captions on or off.
Do I need a subscription?
No. You buy prepaid credit (1 credit = $1, from $10) and each video uses only what it costs. Nothing renews and nothing is charged automatically.
Why is there never any music?
Music is the most common reason videos get copyright claims. Cartoon Video Maker uses the narration plus sound effects placed only where something in the story really makes that sound, so there is no music to be claimed.
Who owns the videos I make?
You do. You can post them on your own channels, including monetized ones, as long as you follow each platform’s rules.
Scripts and pictures
Are the facts right?
Scripts are built around real, specific facts and told as a story. Mistakes are still possible, so read the script and review the scenes before you publish, especially for history, science and anything people will rely on.
Can I help it find a topic?
Yes. Brainstorm topics with it first, pick the one you like, then make the video.
Will every scene look the same style?
Yes. You pick one style and every scene keeps that look. You can save styles you like, or copy a style from up to 3 of your own pictures.
What if I don’t like a scene?
Review every scene before the video is made and redraw only the ones you don’t like. Only the redraw is added to the cost.
What can the video editor change?
The editor (beta) lets you change the words, voices, camera moves, sound effects, the order of scenes, and swap in your own pictures. Then make the video again at no extra cost.
Voices and sound
How many voices are there?
Twenty-eight natural narrator voices, American and British, and you can listen to every one before you choose. You can also set the narrator’s speed.
Can characters have their own voices?
Yes. The narrator tells the story and each character speaks their own lines in a different voice.
When are sound effects added?
Only where something in the story really makes that sound, timed to the word: the door creaks on “creaked”, the thunder rolls on “thunder”.
Credit and billing
How do I know what a video will cost?
The exact price is shown before you start, based on the mode, the length and the quality you choose. Afterwards every step is itemized in your usage history. See the pricing page for examples.
Does my credit expire?
No. Credit stays in your account until you use it.
Can I get a refund?
No. Credit purchases are final and non-refundable, including unused credit, but credit never expires, so nothing you buy is lost. If a step fails on our side, the credit for that step goes back to your balance. Nothing in our terms limits the rights the law of your country gives you. Details are in the refund policy.
Publishing and earning
Can I make money with these videos?
Many creators earn from narrated videos through ad revenue, sponsorships, affiliate links and client work. Results depend on you, your niche and each platform’s rules, and nobody can promise income. Our honest guide covers the options.
Do platforms allow AI-made videos?
Generally yes, with rules. YouTube, TikTok and Meta ask you to label realistic AI-made content in some cases and reward original, valuable videos over repetitive ones. Check each platform’s current policies before you post.
